Embedded Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test new products to achieve desired features and specifications
• Document designs for product support and efficient development of successive product generations
• Ensure project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements
• Completes technical studies and prepare cost estimates
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests
• Design product concepts, build prototypes and conduct testing and validation
• Maintains project database
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes including turning, milling and welding
• Perform and present gated design reviews with both internal staff, as well as with customers at specific times in the design lifecycle of components
• Work as part of a team of design and manufacturing engineering staff to bring designs through prototyping and into serial production
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relating results as needed
• Participate in mechanical product design including product specifications, material selection, CAD design, and detailed product drawings
